Pub Quiz Proceeds

Our pub quiz on the 28th February raised £106.80 for Oxfam. Many thanks to all those who took part. Also thank you to the Boathouse pub for letting us have the venue for free.

Pub Quiz, 28th February

We’re having a pub quiz in aid of Oxfam on Thursday 28/02/19, 8pm, at the Boathouse pub on Chesterton Road. Entry £5 and some great prizes to be won. We’ll be dividing people into teams of 4 to 5 people, but don’t worry if you’re not in a team, we’ll find one for you. Please contact me using the form on the ‘events’ page if you plan to come along, so we have some idea of numbers. A wide range of tasty food and drink is available at the Boathouse.

Cambridge Poets for Oxfam raises £262

Many thanks to all seven poets who read at the ‘Cambridge Poets for Oxfam’ event on 7th March. A total of £262 was raised for Oxfam.

Cambridge Poets for Oxfam

We’re having a poetry reading in support of Oxfam, on Tuesday 7th March, 7.30pm for 8pm start, at the Unitarian Church Hall on Victoria Street (near Christ’s Pieces). We’ve got a good line-up of talented local poets reading: Malcolm Guite, Rebecca Watts, Trish Harewood, Jane Monson, Lindsay Fursland, Claudine Toutoungi, and Adam Crothers. Entry £5. Refreshments available (please give donations).

Collection for Yemen Appeal at the Arts Picturehouse

Our collection for the Yemen Appeal this weekend (17th and 18th December) raised £304. Many thanks to the Arts Picturehouse for letting us have a stall.
